Bad girl Vinka never seems to disappoint as she dropped a new Afrodance club banger titled ‘Bailando‘ last week including a colourful music video too, giving us a taste of her wild and creative side that we dearly love about her music.
Bailando is an Afrodance-themed song that gives off a dancehall club vibe to it making it a worthy club banger hit that is surely going to make waves within the next few weeks. The song itself is already trending under the music category at number three on YouTube just a few days after its release and almost hitting 100,000 views.
The song was released by Sony Music Entertainment Africa under Sound African Recordings on 13th April 2023. It also made a strong debut on Apple Music’s Top Hits playlists such as “Today’s Hits”, “New Music Daily”, “EA Wave” and “Mali Safi” after it dropped, a clear sign that Vinka is still a serious contender when it comes to music.
The 3-minute song was written and produced by Daddy Andre while the music was done by Marvin Musoke, a strong combination of two talents, which is no surprise that the project turned out as well as it did. When you listen to Bailando, you can hear well-tuned the beats are – not forgetting the catchy tagline too. Andre is well known for being a good producer which goes to show how talented he is when it comes to the Afrobeat scene.
Aside from its cheerful lyrics, the word Bailando is a Spanish word that translates to ‘dancing’ which is definitely what the music video is all about, fun, love and excitement. Vinka reveals her sexy side in this new hit showing off her curves and crazy dance moods as often seen in her other work. The choreography was done by Icy Sonia and Abi Charity as leading the video vixens.
Vinka, who is still under the management of Swangz Avenue, made a big move to Sony after she signed a long-time deal with Sony Music Entertainment Africa back in 2018 after a successful career with Swangz since her merry days in 2016.
