Mark Walhberg is the lead star in what might be a blockbuster. Mile 22 is an action thriller directed by Peter Berg who has directed movies such as Hancock and The Kingdom.

Walhberg is the intelligence officer, James Silva who must sneak a police officer with important intel out of another country. His government and some other people who want this information to remain concealed won’t let him go that easy.

The police officer is Iko Uwais, who delivered the unforgettable jaw and bone breaking in the movie, “The Raid”. If you didn’t know better, you would even mistake this for a sequel. The trailer reveals his awesome quick thorough Muay Thai martial arts as he too takes down assailants in combat.

The trailer isn’t too revealing about what Iko Uwais knows, but just enough to show that he desperately wants to get to the US and that the people after him will stop at nothing to kill him.

Mark Walhberg’s team doesn’t exist, it is a ghost special team that does what governments or democracy can’t execute. With their skills, you really don’t want to be their target and that is why they are the perfect team to figure out how to deliver the police officer to Mile 22 in 4 hours otherwise they too are stuck in the country.

The trailer of Mile 22 also shows Judo and MMA fighter, Ronda Rousey (Expendables 3 and Furious 7); Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead and John Malkovich who has been in movies like Red, Warm Bodies and Con Air.

Mark Walhberg has never disappointed in films like Shooter Patriots Day, Transformers, Deep Water Horizon and with such an amazing cast, this movie is worth watching at the cinema on premiere.

Peter Berg, the director behind Mile 22 is an American director, producer, writer and actor famously known for his film works such as Very Bad Things (1998), The Rundown (2003), Friday Night Lights (2004), action thriller The Kingdom (2007), Hancock (2008) Battleship (2012), Lone Survivor (2013), Deepwater Horizon (2016), and the Boston Marathon bombing drama Patriots Day (2016), the latter three all starring Mark Wahlberg.

The premiere has been set for 31st August, 2018 in the UK.
