A number of social media influencers have been talking about Lemon8 and have described it as if “Instagram and Pinterest had a baby,” meaning that it borrows a lot of features and similarities from both apps. So, it’s likely that ByteDance paid some social media influencers to promote the app to drive up U.S. downloads of course.
