Meaning of Kujira

Jira, Tujire, Wamujira, Ojira, Kujirad; Sometimes spelt as Kugira.

1. To have sex with a babe. It started as a way to refer to secretive sex or fornication in places like offices and schools. The word Kujira was popularised by Mun G in his hit single when he said, “…Jira tujire, mwatu tobiwanvuya…”

Example:

They kujirad in the company store room last month.

2. To do something, work or complete a task.

Example:

Jangu to tujire, tutambuzze eno e’mmeeza.

3. Offensive. In Luganda when agree, an insult or reference to someone in relation to something they do, failed at or have on their body such as big eyes, a big head.
