Meaning of Kuzina

kuzinas, kuzinad, yazina, bamuzina, azina, yazinidde, yazinira

1. To have sex. It became popular in the 21st century because of the advent of new youthful dance strokes such as dubbing that imitated sexual gestures, it is also believed it could have been adapted from the ancient Buganda rite of “Okuzina Abalongo”.

2. To dance.

 

Example:

Abaana be Nkozi balalu nnyo basobola n’okuzinira ku mmeza.

3. Obsolete – Okuzina Abalongo: In ancient Buganda culture, there was a popular very vulgar and nude orgy fest ritual where in laws danced with the woman and man who gave birth to new born twins.

The mother of the twins would dress incredibly seductively displaying certain parts and would dance with her father in law which is a taboo in Central and Eastern cultures, many big vulgar words would be dropped accompanied by singing and heavy drinking. This culture faded though.
