1. Offensive; An insult often used in anger or as an expression of irritation.

 

Example:

David told Mugisha he looked fake today, Mugisha replied, “nyoko!” in anger.

2. Mother. Nyoko is an old way of saying “mother” or “mum” in old Luganda, it has been phased out because it has been misused over the years as an insult for one’s mother or when a person is angry.

 

Example:

Genda ogambe nyoko that you’re sick.

 

Synonyms: [info] mum, maama, mama, mummy, nyina [/info]
