1. A place where campusers stay during their official sems. Hostels are usually near the university, they are paid for per semester instead of monthly and mostly rented out by private students.

In most standard arrangements, there are two students per room and the offer of a single which is expensive. Some are self-contained whereas others offer shared bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Hostels also vary on strictness; you would think university students are old enough not to be policed like kids.
