That’s a wrap on 2025! This is our final weekly streaming breakdown of the year. We’re taking a short hiatus to recharge (and binge-watch everything we missed), so our regular content will resume the first week of January.
Until then, here are the highlights from our Streaming Charts this week complied by JustWatch, featuring a new mystery at #1, a shift in the Upside Down, and the holiday classics making their annual climb.
Movies: Benoit Blanc is Back on Top
It looks like the world was ready for another mystery. #1 Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has officially dethroned the competition. The third installment in Rian Johnson’s whodunit franchise dropped on Netflix over the weekend and immediately rocketed to first place. Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc clearly hasn’t lost his touch with audiences.
Meanwhile, the holiday spirit is taking over the charts. As we inch closer to the big day, the classics are surging back into the Top 10. #9 National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and #10 Home Alone have officially entered the chat, proving that Clark Griswold and Kevin McCallister are just as essential to December as eggnog.

TV: ‘Pluribus’ Reigns Supreme
Over on the TV side, Vince Gilligan has done it again. #1 Pluribus holds onto the top spot for another week following a truly captivating penultimate episode. With just one episode left before the season finale drops on December 26th, hype is at an all-time high.
In a surprising turn, things are getting a little less “strange” at the top. #4 Stranger Things slipped down two spots from last week’s #2 position. However, we expect this to be the calm before the storm as fans gear up for the final batch of episodes later this month.
Finally, the clowns are having a moment. The debut season of #3 IT: Welcome to Derry came to a terrifying close this week. The finale pushed the series up the charts, cementing it as one of the year’s standout horror hits.

The Naughty List: Christmas Movies with the Worst Characters
Speaking of the holidays, JustWatch decided to do something a little different for the final feature of the year. We all love a good Christmas movie, but let’s be honest—some of these characters are absolutely terrible people.
From toxic relatives to villains who just need a hug (or a jail cell), JustWatch compiled a list of the best Christmas movies featuring the absolute worst characters—and exactly where you can stream them right now. Check out the full list here: The Best Christmas Movies with the Horrible Characters
