Bumblebee Comes to Life in New Transformers Trailer

For the Transformers fans out there, Paramount Pictures has answered our prayers as they are bringing our cool hero Bumblebee to screen soon in a separate spin off movie.

On Tuesday morning, the robots in disguise returned in a remarkable fashion as a teaser trailer for Bumblebee was released by Paramount Pictures for their latest installment of the transformers franchise.

The Transformers’ franchise which first began in 2007, is said to be gearing up for a shared-universe-style reboot along with several other Hasbro properties, including G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Rom, M.A.S.K. and Visionaries.

Now that Transformers 7 was cancelled, the writers decided to shift their focus to something else and that’s how the idea for Bumblebee’s spin off movie came to life.

Director Travis Knight, best known for his animation company Laika, the Oscar-nominated Kubo and the Two Strings (2016), is entering the world of live action with a prequel to Transformers (2007).

Written by Christina Hodson, and led by Hailee Steinfeld, Bumblebee provides a fresh start for the series which had been completely taken up by the Michael Bay’s style of directing.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the new Bumblebee trailer offers a sense of earnestness that feels a lot more Amblin than the previous movies.

From the trailer, we can see that the movie is clearly set within the same Transformers universe we’ve come to know. The teaser ends with Charlie introducing Bumblebee to the classic ’80s hit, “Never Gonna Give You Up,” which has since become the source of numerous memes.

I am completely excited about the teaser as it could be what we needed to save what was already a dying Transformer’s franchise.
