Netflix’s Extraction Movie Becomes A Smashing Hit!

Netflix’s new film “Extraction” is about to break records for the streaming service as it’s on its way to becoming the biggest-ever film premiere it has ever had.

Extraction, which stars Chris Hemsworth as the lead actor has received a lot of attention from critics and fans alike and could be one the biggest movie premieres for Netflix so far.

The success of the movie could be attributed to the fact that many of us are at home due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown meaning that many households are expected to stream the film.

An estimated 90 million are expected to watch Extraction from their homes in the first four weeks since the movie’s premiere, which could boost its views and also its success.

The “Thor” actor on Saturday took to Instagram to celebrate the success of his film, saying he was totally blown away by the amount of attention it was getting in just a few weeks.

“We are absolutely blown away by the response this film has been getting! If you haven’t seen it yet, get on to @Netflix and check it out!” he wrote.

It’s written by Joe Russo, based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli and David Harbour.

There is also the possibility that Extraction could surpass the current record holder, Bird Box, a Sandra Bullock horror which has been holding the top position for a while now.

The film was released on April 24, 2020, by Netflix and it received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances and action sequences but criticised both screenplay and excessive violence.

A sequel of the movie is currently in development due to the success and attention it has gotten within a few weeks from release. The film’s writer, Joe Russo, has already closed a deal to write another installment.
