Ugandan Hip-Hop fans were delighted when our own UG rapper, GNL Zamba aka Ernest Nsimbi two weeks ago was nominated in the Independent Music Awards in New York.
Good news is, GNL Zamba was able to scoop an award from the four categories he had been nominated in. The celebrated multi-award winning Hip-hop storyteller, won the Best World Beat Song category for Leo Ni Leo.
According to reports, GNL Zamba also left the audience beyond joyed with his closing performance at the ceremony while doing a live stage performance at the Independent Music Awards.
The Independent Music Awards honor the year’s most exceptional self-released & indie label projects from around the globe – in all styles and mediums.
The awards look at all forms of art from cutting-edge to traditional & everything in between. They celebrate independent creatives who follow their muse to create something extraordinary. And connects them to new audiences and opportunities.
