Its with great pleasure and excitement that we get to talk about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel, ‘House of the Dragon’ which has GOT fans jumping about like rabbits in a field of carrots.
A few days ago, HBO gave a green light to the project which likely will not premiere until 2021 with a high probability of it being written by the legendary man himself, George R.R. Martin who is famously known for his Game of Thrones books.
According to the GOT writer, the House of the Dragon was the first concept he had pitched to HBO back in summer 2016, when the network was reportedly first showing interest in a new Game of Thrones series.
The House of the Dragon, a Targaryen-focused spinoff which takes place about 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, is largely based on stories from Fire & Blood giving a much more detailed history of the Targaryen family through their rule of Westeros.
Lets hope House of the Dragon will give us more dragons!

The prequel has already been picked up by the HBO network and is expected to have 10 episodes as a full fledged series. There is a lot we expect to see in this upcoming tale of sword fights, bloodshed and probably more dragons!
Game of Thrones completed its eighth and final season earlier this year. House of the Dragon is in early stages of pre-production and an expected release date has not been announced.
