Could Christian Bale Be The New Thor?

Christian Bale is popularly known for his role as Batman where he put on an amazing performance as Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises movies as part of the DC Cinematic Universe.

However, new reports linking Christian Bale crossing over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be the surprise this year needs with the actor hoping to play an unspecified role in the upcoming Thor movie.

According to Collider, the Ford v Ferrari actor is reportedly in talks to join Taika Waititi’s upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. The role Bale will play is not yet clear however, some are hoping its villain role which could blow our minds away since he’s such a good actor.

None the less, Christian Bale may not be the new Thor as Chris Hemsworth is scheduled to return for the Love and Thunder film as the Asgardian prince-turned-king, with Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who is expected to become the female superheroine Mighty Thor.

Waititi will also return  as Korg (the rock guy), who became an instant fan favorite from the previous installment of Thor: Ragnarok. Marvel’s Kevin Feige will produce the comic book movie after the last Thor installment grossed $853 million (UGX 3,168,514,562,000) worldwide.

Christian Bale currently stars in Fox/Disney’s racing drama Ford v Ferrari, which has grossed more than $200 million (UGX 742,910,800,000) worldwide. He won an Oscar on his very nomination for The Fighter, and was also nominated for American Hustle, The Big Short, and Vice. He’s currently up for a SAG Award for his turn as Ken Miles in Ford v Ferrari.

Thor: Love and Thunder, which is scheduled to film in Australia comes out on November 5, 2021, the same year as Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.
