Luke Cage Renewed for Second Season

Luke Cage, a Marvel drama series just got renewed for season 2 as it was announced on Sunday. We are definitely expecting more kick ass action from the Netflix installment.

The series is Marvel’s third drama for Netflix, together with Daredevil (renewed for 3rd season) and Jessica Jones (renewed for 2nd season), and finally Iron Fist — due in 2017.

The stars of all four shows will team for Marvel mash-up The Defenders, which is awaiting a premiere date at Netflix.

Luke Cage stars as the strong Mike Colter superhero, an African-American ex-con with superhuman strength & a bullet proof body living in Harlem.

The show is not only known for its amazing casting but also the intense action scenes not forgetting its twisted humor that makes it even more enjoyable.

Luke Cage gets another second season and we’re definitely excited!

We don’t have a clear date on when the second season of Luke Cage will begin but given the busy nature of Marvel Studios & Netflix, we have The Defenders’ miniseries around the corner in which Colter will appear alongside stars from Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.

Netflix and Marvel have put a lot of smiles on our faces this year and we can’t wait to watch the upcoming four dramas such as The Defenders, Dare Devil, The Punisher and Jessica Jones.

Marvel is working with Hulu on The Runaways and scored a straight-to-series order at Freeform for Cloak and Dagger, the latter of which is due in 2018 and remains uncast.

A great year awaits, as we are about to be bombarded with more awesomeness come 2017!
