Rihanna is definitely up to something as news hit our desk that the singer is renting off an entire island in Essex, London to focus on recording her upcoming long-awaited ninth studio album, R9.
According to The Mirror, Rihanna chose the beautiful Osea Island to record a her new album, which is located just off the coast of Essex in Blackwater River. A source claimed: ‘Rihanna has invited family to spend time with her while she works. She’s had a few stints in the studio since her last album, but she’s been really focused on her makeup, clothing and lingerie lines ‘.
A few weeks back, fans hadn’t noticed that bad girl RiRi had moved to London and it came as surprise to many when word broke out the big move. Many were shocked about it as she did it without letting the media or her fans know which she was praised for by many.
Since she moved to London, she has had friends and family staying with her so she can work at her own pace, surrounded by the people she loves. Osea Island spans 380 acres and is described as a luxury island holiday resort which is available for exclusive hire. The resort boasts its own cinema, gym, pool, private beaches and an array of small cottages for the friends and family who have reportedly visited RiRi.
It has been revealed that the Osea Island is owned by British music producer Nigel Frieda which doesn’t come as a surprise since it’s the perfect place to hide from the world and have some peace and time to oneself to reflect and work in peace.
However, renting Osea Island doesn’t come cheap. According to reports, it costs £20,000 (UGX 95,839,669) a day but of course, RiRi can afford it since she was named the richest woman in music by Forbes a day ago.
Meanwhile, fans are running crazy and are totally hyped about the anticipated upcoming R9 album by Rihanna which could be a big hit once it drops.
