The New York Knicks superstar and NBA legend, Patrick Ewing recently revealed that he tested positive for coronavirus and is currently isolating himself at a local hospital.
Patrick Ewing, who is currently the head coach of the Georgetown University men’s team, played most of his career as the starting center of the NBA’s New York Knicks and also played briefly with the Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando Magic.
Ewing was an 11-time All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medallist, who was also nominated by ESPN as the 16th-greatest college basketball player of all time.
“I want to share that I have tested positive for Covid-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly,” the 57-year-old tweeted.
“I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourself and your loved ones.”
Georgetown Athletics said he is self-isolating at a local hospital and he is the only member of the Georgetown men’s basketball program to have tested positive for the virus.
