Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic benches nine players ahead of the African Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon.
Micho had 35 players in his provisional team in preparation for AFCON but he decided to drop nine players before next month’s competition.
It was before the Christmas break when the Crane coach decided to cut down on his squad. The Cranes return to camp on Monday ahead of their training camps in Tunisia and Dubai before they travel for the tournament.
The players dropped include
- Joseph Nsubuga
- Richard Kassaga Jjuuko
- Halid Lwaliwa
- Rashid Toha
- Keziron Kizito
- Ibrahim Saddam Juma
- Paul Mucureezi
- Martin Kizza
- Erisa Ssekisambu
As our team gets ready for AFCON, lets hope coach Micho’s decision is sound and will help us win the game come 2017.
