Tomb Raider just got a Hollywood reboot with Alicia Vikander as the famed Lara Croft succeeding after Angelina Jolie who acted in the previous Two Tomb Raider movies.
The new movie bases most of its plot on the 2013 video game while also being a reboot to the Tomb Raider film series. Video game fans are on edge of course because most movies made after games haven’t really lived up to the hype such as Max Payne and Assassin’s Creed.
The trailer reveals the main villain that Lara Croft will be up against as “Trinity” and we are teased about a tomb her father reveals to her called, “The Mother of Death” which must not be opened by the Trinity lest the world is doomed.
Movie Review: Missing some Chinese explosive action? Try Shock Wave
Guns, awesome fight scenes, explosions, traps and puzzles are the order of the day. This Tom Raider is directed by Roar Uthang, co-stars Dominic West and Walton Goggins.
Apart from being too serious and having what seems like bad humour, so far so good.
