50 Cent’s For Life TV Show Is Getting A Season 2

If your a big fan of 50 Cent’s executive produced TV show ‘For Life’ then we have some good news for you as it is getting renewed for another season.

Reports about the renewal were confirmed by Hollywood Reporter as ABC is preparing to bring the legal drama back to life for another mind-blowing season.

The show is based on a true story about the life of a black man named Issac Wright, who was imprisoned but became a lawyer behind bars and fought for his inmate’s freedom, as well as his own. Ultimately, Wright tries to prove his innocence as he was wrongfully convicted. Issac is played by Nicholas Pinnock.

“It has been a profound honour working with Isaac Wright Jr. and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson to create a show that, through the prism of Isaac’s experience in our broken criminal justice system, has been able to highlight the racial inequality that plagues this country,” creator and show-runner Hank Steinberg said in a statement announcing the news Monday.

“The show’s renewal will allow us to continue to do that and I am extremely grateful to Sony Pictures Television and ABC for all of their support” Steinberg added.

ABC agrees to renew ‘For Life’ TV show for another season

The TV show is executive produced by 50 Cent who also plays the character of Big Cassius, a jail bully who has a lot of control, even though he’s behind bars.

For Life also features an interesting cast the likes of Indira Varma, Joy Bryant, Mary Stuart Masterson, Boris McGiver, Dorian Missick, Tyla Harris and Timothy Busfield who co-star in the series, which is exec produced by Steinberg, 50 Cent, Doug Robinson and Alison Greenspan.

The series brings to life the realities about how the American justice and criminal system is broken including the racial injustice and struggles a black person will go through to find and fight for their freedom, which is not surprising that it is being renewed.

The series, which is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios, averaged more than 2.3 million viewers during its 13-episode run making it a prime candidate for renewal. It also has a lot of support from ABC studios and believes its worth the fight.

An air date hasn’t been confirmed yet but we will keep posted. Meanwhile, for those who haven’t watched the interesting legal drama yet, its high time you did during this lockdown.
