1. Reduce your stress & anxiety
Bringing stress and anxiety levels down will do a lot to help improve your ability to remember nearly anything and everything. Always try and avoid stressing yourself since this greatly affects your ability to remember things since it ruins your focus.

Your self-esteem and how you view certain aspects in life can be a contributing factor to forgetting a lot. Start by writing down any memories you have of someone, anyone saying you were dumb, stupid or couldn’t remember things and toss them out of your life.
3. Practice visualization techniques
Visualization of words or things can help boost your memory a lot. Everyone thinks that words need to be remembered and recalled as words, but this isn’t always the case. It may be easier for you to visualize things like lists as images in your mind. Names can be handled the same way.
4. Maintain a healthy lifestyle
Being in optimum health is good for your body & your mind. Exercise, eat good foods like beans, avocado, legumes, tomatoes etc. Stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. Focus is needed for excellent memory recall and staying healthy keep your focus sharp!
5. Remain calm always
It is not easy to remain calm every time but it’s one of the best ways to have a sharp recalling ability. This can be seen when you have an exam and you’re anxious and stressed which can cause you to forget what you read.
To avoid this, take a deep breath, have a good posture and tell yourself you’re going to be fine. This helps build confidence & helps in memory recollection.
6. Have enough sleep
The brain needs a break sometimes and getting enough sleep is the best way to give it the rest it needs. Always have enough sleep because some of the brain functions are given a break so that it regenerates and any new information gets properly absorbed.
7. Reduce on multitasking
Multi-tasking can ultimately cause you to forget things. People give themselves a long list of things to do and they ultimately make it more likely that they will forget key details. For the benefit of your memory learn to take on tasks one at a time and make sure you do each of them well without pressure.
