Award-winning songstress, Billie Eilish recently got a restraining order against an overbearing fan who kept showing up at her family home several times.
According to TMZ, the judge granted the Grammy winner a restraining order against a certain fan who had shown up at her home seven times in a row proving a security threat to Billie and her family.
Reports also go further to state that the fan had not only showed up at their home seven times but they also once tried accessing the home using the door handle at their residence. The fan, who goes by the name Prenell Rousseau, 24, is now required to cease contact with anyone in the Eilish family and stay 200 yards away. He was also forced to take a bus back to New York where he lives.
Billie, however, still feels threatened by the fan and believes he could try to do the same thing again once he has the opportunity to get close enough.
Prenell Rousseau showed up at the Billie Eilish family home seven times in a row
The first time Rousseau visited Eilish’s home was last Monday when he rang their doorbell, asking, “I think I might have the wrong house, but does Billie Eilish live here?” Her father responded to his question through their Ring camera, telling him that he had the wrong home.
According to Eilish, Rousseau later returned to her home at 9 pm the same day, displaying erratic behaviour as he sat down on their porch reading a book as he continued to engage in a ”periodic monologue”. This all happened while the family was waiting for security to arrive.
After security was able to move the trespasser from the premises, he later returned to the family home and laid down behind a wall ready to spend a night there according to reports.
Eilish is afraid for her family and says, the trespasser posses a health risk since he could possibly spread coronavirus to them since he has been touching their doorbell without gloves or protection.
The biggest concern though is, despite showing up at their home seven times, Rousseau can’t be arrested since trespassing is considered a non-violent crime. And also, authorities are trying to curb the spread of COVID-19 in prisons by allowing those with non-violent offences back into society. A hearing has been set for June 1.
