Logitech, a company known for its computer accessory announced today that it will be acquiring Astro Gaming for $85 million.
Astro Gaming is popularly known for its gaming headsets, accessories, and gear and other premium video gaming equipment made for professional, hardcore, and casual gamers.
Logitech is adding Astro to their G division which is a PC gaming-focused sub-brand. The reason behind the move is to tap into the vast console market.

Astro Gaming is popularly known for its gaming headsets, accessories, and gear and other premium video gaming equipment made for professional, hardcore, and casual gamers.
Logitech for a long time has been focused mainly on PC gamers with its various accessories like mice, keyboards, headsets, and other peripherals. Now that Astro is on board, the company will be able to cover and gain more market share in the gaming industry.
According to reports, Logitech doesn’t plan on changing the Astro brand and will only shift it to Logitech G division where they will stay focused on PC peripherals, while Astro will remain a console-first brand.
The deal is expected to close by the end of August.
