Uganda police decided to go shopping for lady shoes and went on to do a parade across the streets of Kampala as they did their match alongside a band.
The march was based on a campaign known as, “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” to spread the message of solidarity in stopping violence against women.
The turnout was huge and also included a number of male officers doing the cat walk all looking pretty and stuff as they made their message clear about gender based violence.
Men literally walked a mile in women’s high-heeled shoes as a sign of protest against sexual violence and also to educate communities about it.
The drive also aimed at fundraising money for chronically underfunded rape crisis centers, women’s shelters and other sexual violence prevention and recovery services.
