You Can Now Slay Better with WhatsApp Group Video Calls

WhatsApp is adding a cool interesting feature soon for its Beta users where one can now make group video and audio calls to their friends simultaneously.

During the Facebook F8 conference that took place at the start of the month, Mark Zuckerberg hinted on the addition of group calls  to WhatsApp and now here they’re.

The feature has been discovered in countless leaks and with some users able to exploit the service on iOS but now it seems its already making its way to Android users. But beware, this a server-side update so not everyone has it.

Android Police revealed it had discovered the group audio and video calls on the latest WhatsApp beta 2.18.162 (APK Mirror link) and it was working quite well though it is likely a server-side rollout.

When you’re in a call with someone, you can tap the add contact icon at the top right of the screen and choose between your contacts to invite to the call.

This is going to be an awesome feature especially for the slay queens and kings looking to show off what they’re up to with friends and family.

The feature works for both audio and video calls and can allow up to only four people which is great since we don’t want to see so many people arguing over a video call about who has better hair than the other.

Also, when receiving a call where already two or more people are participating, you will see the avatars and numbers/names of the persons so you can make a decision before joining in.

We totally excited about this new update and can’t wait to see it roll out on all devices.
