Nigeria’s Afro-pop singer and songwriter, Yemi Alade is coming to Uganda this April. Reports about her planned arrival to the banana republic were confirmed through her social media pages.
The Nigerian songstress is expected to perform at Blankets and Wine this coming April which will also be part of her promotional tour under the “Woman of Steel” music album, her fourth studio album released early September in 2019.
The 15-track album by Yemi Alade features American stars like Rick Ross and legendary African singer Angelique Kidjo.
“Uganda! I will be performing at the Blankets and Wine on 19th April 2020. Woman of steel World Tour is coming to you. Get your tickets! It’s going to be an African Party!” She posted online.

Yemi Eberechi Alade (born 13 March 1989), simply known as Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian Afro-pop singer and songwriter. She gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and is best known for her hit single “Johnny”
King of Queens, released on October 2, 2014, by Effyzzie Music Group was Alade’s debut studio album which was preceded by three singles: “Johnny”, “Tangerine” and “Kissing”. She then later released Mama Africa (2016) and Black Magic (2017), which have all had world tours.
Powered by Tusker Malt, Blankets and Wine which is now in its 25th edition is a picnic themed Afro-pop music festival and will be held back at its home venue, Lugogo Cricket Oval.
