Anthony Joshua Sends Andy Ruiz Flying to Regain Heavyweight Titles

Anthony Joshua regained his heavyweight titles after he beat Andy Ruiz Jr. in an entertaining fight today using his skills and calculative tactics to take down his rival.

The fight that has made Anthony Joshua £70 million (UGX 340,525,520,440) richer, took place in Saudi Arabia, Diriyah Arena. Basing on his early downfall in his first fight against Andy Ruiz, Anthony used all that he had learnt from the previous humbling encounter and kept it steady with wariness and restraint while showing off his new defensive style.

During the fight, Ruiz threw everything he had at the British boxer who maintained his stance, not wasting any shot and fending off all hits.

Based on the scores laid out after match, victory went to Anthony Joshua with two judges scoring in his favour 118-110 and the other 119-109, which left the British star happy and humbled.

Andy Ruiz’s camp intend to have another third go against Joshua in what would be termed as a trilogy in the making and there’s a high chance he may not turn down the offer to fight again.

Anthony Joshua has regained his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles after beating Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia.

Ruiz’s team said that the reason behind their man’s weight gain had all been a plan to overwhelm a slimmed-down Joshua but by the look of things, it didn’t go as they had planned. “Next time I’m going to get a bit more prepared. Joshua did a hell of a job.” – Andy Ruiz.

Joshua cut Ruiz in the first round, leaving the Mexican-American with blood trickling from above his left eye after he connected with a right hand.

Six months after scoring four knockdowns and snatching the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles from Joshua, Ruiz has handed them back on a silver platter due to his over his partying and lack of pre-fight discipline.

Congratulations to Anthony Joshua.
