Anthony Martial To Miss Tottenham Game

Anthony Martial is set to miss out on Manchester United’s match against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Wednesday due to injury.

Anthony Martial, who has been struggling to overcome a muscular problem for a while now, was substituted on Sunday’s game against Aston Villa which ended in draw after 82 minutes.

The 23-year-old French forward has seen a lot of action under Manchester United and has so far played 211 matches and scored 55 goals, with 7 of those goals in this season.

Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have no choice but resort to a formation featuring three centre halves as he prepares his team against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham who was once their head coach a year ago before being sacked.

Last month Solskjaer played a similar formation in the 3-3 draw with Sheffield United, where he started with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones. The Norwegian also used three centre halves against Liverpool in October, earning a draw at Old Trafford.

Apart from Martial, Manchester United players Scott McTominay and Nemanja Mati have also been missing in action due to injuries but are now ready to get back in the game. Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has been ruled out since he is recovering from ankle injury.

McTominay has missed three games with an ankle complaint, while fellow midfielder Matic has not played for two months with an unspecified issue.

As Mourinho makes his return to Old Trafford, fans are anxiously waiting to see how the game will play out and hope Solskjaer’s boys can keep up the offensive against Tottenham.

As the English Premier League table stands to show, Manchester United is currently in the tenth position with 18 points, 1 point away from Arsenal who are in the ninth while Tottenham is in the sixth place with 20 points clear.
