German team Bayern Munich is reported to be casing after Harry Kane and is ready to drop huge bags of cash on the Tottenham player after a deal was finally penned down.
Bayern Munich is willing to pay £86m up front for the England captain, with add-ons amounting close to £100m once the deal is finalized which will be a record for the English club. Now what is left is for Kane to decide whether to stay with Tottenham or think of a career at Bayern.
Reports suggest that Harry Kane is still a bit undecided about the move and has been leaning towards staying with his current team not forgetting there are still issues to resolve between the two teams regarding the England captain’s future if he is to join the German side.
As of now, Kane still has one year left on his contract with Tottenham though signs point to the forward not renewing it which is why the club has vested a lot of energy in this deal seeing it could be the best option for the team.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has managed to score 280 goals in 435 appearances at Spurs, having netted his first goal in December 2011 when he started off with the club. Having scored 213 goals in the 320 English Premier League games, he is 48 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer’s record as the highest scorer in the league’s history.
However, with reports floating around that Kane is still not so into the deal, the club feels it’s best the deal moves forward. Aside from that, Man United also had its eyes on the Tottenham star but the €100m price sent them running over the hills leaving them to focus on their recent signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta for £72m.
As things stand right now, Bayern Munich really wants this deal to go through and so does Tottenham. Now, what’s left is for Harry Kane to put a pen on it and move on.
