Chelsea is already making big moves during the transfer season as its been reported that it wants to sign Kai Havertz for a fee of £75M (UGX 346,823,910,675).

The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder could find himself landing into the Blues territory if Chelsea manages to seal the deal and bring the 21-year-old over to their side.

Earlier in June, the London side had been reported to have shown kin interest in signing the midfielder but then the news went cold, giving off an impression that the deal had probably been called off. However, that wasn’t the case.

Chelsea is yet again gunning for the 21-year-old and hopes to bring the star to the Stamford Bridge so that he can play alongside his German compatriot Timo Werner who was signed from RP Leipzig.

Kai Havertz has been an impressive player for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring goals and creating opportunities for the team and seeing as he is still 21, he would undoubtedly fit right into the system that Frank Lampard is trying to build at Chelsea.

Chelsea and Lampard have not been shy of making it known that they are rebuilding and all is clear seeing as they have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

Signing Kai Havertz would be a huge statement of intent for Chelsea about their priorities for the 2020/21 campaign as they look to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the English Premier League title.

Chelsea is also reported to be interested in Ben Chilwell who has been impressive for Leicester City and Lampard views him as a player that could add value to his defence.

Emerson and Alonso have not done the job for Lampard as he would have wanted for his system and Ben Chilwell seems like the player that will be able to fit right into his desired system of play which is to attack your opponent while also being cautious of your defensive duties.
