Messi Set for Another Record

After losing the most prestigious awards last season, Messi appeared for the match that the Barcelona camp claimed to have made them miss the FIFA Awards on Monday. MSN looked to be busy as goals from Messi, Neymar and Suarez shadowed Athletics’ goal from Enric Saborit.

Struggling Barcelona advanced to the next stage on a 4-3 aggregate. The highlight of the night came in the 78th minute when Messi scored a free kick that made it his 26th free kick goal for Barcelona equaling the club record set by the current Everton Manager Ronald Koeman.

That made it his 31st free kick goal of his career. Let’s hope the Argentine keeps up the heat to challenge Ronaldo this year.
