Reports about Paul Pogba leaving Manchester United have been going around for a while now, and it seems it could be the case as the Red Devils are more willing to make a player-swap if given a good alternative.
The France World Cup winner has been a regular performer for United this season, making 19 appearances, but his agent said earlier this month the player is “unhappy” at the club and “has to change teams” in the next transfer window.
According to Pogba’s agent, the player feels its high time he made a switch to another team as he’s not happy at the club and this transfer window could be his only chance to make the move.
Reports from Italy also state that Man United may be looking at making a player-swap with Juventus but not for Aaron Ramsey or Douglas Costa.
The Frenchman returned to Old Trafford in 2016 from the Italian side but has been linked numerous times with a move back to Juventus.
Despite his good performance for the team in these last few months, the topic of his departure has been a looming concern and if Juventus are willing to accept Pogba back, Manchester United could be ready to accept the offer.
However, with Pogba having just 18 months remaining on his current contract and not forgetting his second spell at the Theatre of Dreams, the era of the 27-year-old player looks to be coming to a certain end.
His agent Mino Raiola declared last month that the midfielder, 27, wants to leave Old Trafford for better pastures since his current position at United doesn’t make him happy anymore.
European giants Real Madrid and Juventus are said to be showing interest in Pogba and maybe the contenders fighting to take on the player’s services once the deal is confirmed during the transfer window.
Paul Pogba not happy at Manchester United anymore wants to leave
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes believes Pogba has a huge role to play as United chase glory on four fronts their term according to The Sun.
He had a hand in the Red Devils’ opener against Villa, then also won the penalty which Fernandes scored to secure the points to move them second in the table on New Year’s Day.
The Portuguese international said: “I think Paul was top on Friday night. We know all the qualities he has. That is not in doubt.
“We know he can play, we know he can help us and he was involved in both goals. For the first, he shows very good skill. He will give more and more and more with the confidence coming game after game.”
So, whether Fernandes feels Paul Pogba is still an important asset to the team, will that be enough to the convenience the French man to stay? We don’t think so since he already expressed his desire to leave the team already according to his agent.
