Former PSquare Star Paul Okoye Tests Positive for Covid-19

Nigerian singer and former member of the defunct group, Psquare, Paul Okoye has tested positive for Covid-19. The music star revealed the shocking news via his Instagram page on Jan 5, 2021.

According to Paul Okoye, he has been battling with the illness for more than 10 days now and urged all his fans and followers to stay safe and adhere to all the SOPs set by the health authorities.

Okoye talked about how real Covid-19 is in his post saying how hard it is for a typical Nigerian or African to believe that the virus is real and can lead to death. In his Instagram post he said:

“ATTENTION!!! F*ck it !!! Covid is REAL !!! I know as typical Nigerian or African is very hard to believe 🤢🤢 some will say “experience is the best teacher 🚶🏿‍♂️🚶🏿‍♂️🚶🏿‍♂️ oh well, the experience and the teacher have visited me and they’ve been dealing with me for more than 10 days now 🤢 sh*t is not funny ….. worst sickness ever!!!”

“Y’all better be careful out there 🙏❤️ if you like to, believe me, if you like don’t, believe me, 🤷🏾‍♂️ you can as well wait for your own experience by playing ignorance 🚶🏿‍♂️Goodluck 🚶🏿‍♂️God help us all 🙏”

According to reports by Pulse Nigeria, Okoye must have contracted the illness a few months after his twin brother Peter and his family were affected by the novel virus.

Paul and his twin brother Peter Okoye have been at war with each other in these past few months since 2020, due to beef that started several years after their group split. Since then, the two haven’t been best of friends with their family torn apart due as a result.

Now that their family has contracted the Covid-19 virus, it should be the best time to put aside their differences and end the long-standing beef that has only brought them nothing but grief. Life is short as they say, and anything can happen.

The recent events should be enough to bring Paul and Peter Okoye back together as a family

Whether this incident will bring the two twin brothers back together is yet to be seen, but we hope they both put aside their differences during this trying time more especially since their families have been affected by the coronavirus which has taken so many lives.

Last year, the two brothers even held separate birthdays with each inviting his own crew and guests to their parties clearly showing how far their hatred for each other has gone. While Peter had an indoor party, his brother Paul celebrated his with other key celebrities in attendance including the likes of Yemi Alade, Harrysongz, and Jude Okoye.

The beef between the two twin brothers has been recorded as one of the biggest celebrity fights in the Nigerian music industry and has been ongoing since 2017 with the two completely beefing one another.
