Brazilian international and midfielder Willian Borges da Silva may find himself at Arsenal very soon after the Gunners made a bold move to sign the 32-year-old player who has been linked to Barcelona and Inter Miami.
The contract Willian has with Chelsea expires later this month, which has attracted big teams like Barcelona and Inter Miami to take interest in the player but Arsenal took the top spot after it offered a three-year contract earlier this week.
Willian moving to Arsenal could be a good fresh start for him as he will get a chance to play alongside fellow Brazilian Edu, which Mikel Arteta seems to have been pushing for all along after the Gunners offered a 3-year contract deal.
Chelsea, on the other hand, refused to extend Willian’s contract further, with the Blues no willing to offer the 32-year-old not more than two years on contract.
After spending a lot of money bringing in star players like Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, it seems like the right choice for the club as they can sell off Willian for a hefty sum if the deal goes well. The Blues need to sell some of their players if they want to buy some competitive new player.

Willian made 47 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions and finished the season in fine form, with four Premier League goals after the restart taking his tally for the season to nine.
In 2013, he briefly signed for Anzhi Makhachkala before joining Chelsea for £30 million, winning the Premier League and League Cup in his second season in England.
Arsenal’s bold move to offer the Brazilian a 3-year contract may seal the deal, outcompeting the likes of Barcelona and Inter Miami.
