The year 2016 has seen a number of good musicians in Uganda step up their game to bring us hot-hitting tracks that have made the top charts across the country.
From the likes of dance-hall, Pop, Hip-Hop to Kidadali, Uganda has had a great year of musical talent and sound buzzing through our ears. We have seen the likes of Sheebah Karungi, Nazio, Bebe Cool, Peter Miles and the rest entertainment us in joyful ways than before.

1. Farmer Remix – Ykee Benda ft Sheeba
This lady deserves to be at the top. She has given it her all and has kept her groove and style unique by giving some awesome club bangers. Sheebah Karungi is the hit wonder for 2016.

Ykee Benda stepped into the music scene with hit songs this year and has maintained a steady grip of the airplay. Munakampala is definitely worth a 2016 playlist song.
3. Njogereza – Navio
One of the best rappers in Uganda and East Africa, a man of no bounds. Navio has set his standards in Hip-Hop music and always adapts to the local scene as he sees fit and Njogereza proves it.

4. Kabulengane – Bebe Cool
Bebe Cool never seems to give up. Every year he drops a smashing hit and has maintained his momentum through these last 5 years. This time around Kabulengane was the hit for 2016.
5. Tempo Remix – Cindy And Dufla
A DJ Kanji remix that makes the original sound like sweet cakes without butter. Tempo has also been a great track for 2016 with Cindy and Dufla dropping the heat!
6. Dangerous – Ceaserous De Genius
Ceaserous De Genius, the new boy on the block brought us “Dangerous” and left us wanting more and more. We hope to hear more from him soon.
7. He Go Down – Irene Ntale
Irene Ntale is a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He Go Down is just a show of the power of what Irene is capable of as one of Uganda’s top female R&B artists. She also does reggae and acoustic soul.

Sala Pulesa has been an anthem in Uganda, and a common saying among the citizens. The song has solidified itself like glue and has continued to hit no matter the season.

B2C came with style and they really knew how to do it with their colorful video and enticing lyrics. Tokigeza is a love song about a hubby warning his girlfriend not to bother falling in love with her workmate.
10. Kano Koze – Winne Nwagi
The “Musawo” star has made her rank among the best of the best, her beauty and curves accompanied with her musical talent create a sensation for Ugandan fans.
