American actress Olivia Wilde and her partner, Jason Sudeikis have ended their engagement after dating for almost a decade, which has sent shock in some celebrity circles after the news broke out.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, who started dating in 2011, had been together for over 10-years including having two children together but now their relationship has come to a close according to multiple news reports.
Reports also state that Wilde and Sudeikis had ended their relationship at the beginning of the year but somehow it remained under the radar, with little or no leaks to media outlets about the split.
People was the first to report about the split between Wilde and Sudeikis earlier this Friday, citing an unnamed source close to the couple that revealed that the two had parted ways at the start of 2020.
Wilde, who starred in “Richard Jewell” and directed “Booksmart,” and former “Saturday Night Live” star Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”), share two children, son Otis, 6, and daughter Daisy, 4.
“It’s been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine,” they added. “The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.”
Wilde, 36, and Sudeikis, 45, started off their relationship in 2011, then got engaged after the holidays in 2012. Earlier that year, Wilde said she had fallen “blissfully, hopefully, wildly in love.”

The once two love birds are now co-parenting and are pleased with how things have progressed so far when it comes to taking care of children. They both have managed to maintain their parental duties despite the split and stress how important family is.
For those who don’t know who Olivia Wilde is, she is an amazing American-Irish actress and filmmaker. She is known for her role as Remy “Thirteen” Hadley in the medical drama television series House (2007–2012). She has also taken part in other roles in the films Conversations with Other Women (2005), Alpha Dog (2007), Tron: Legacy (2010), Cowboys & Aliens (2011), Drinking Buddies (2013), to mention but a few.
As for Sudeikis, he is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. In 2003, he was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live and starred as a cast member from 2005 to 2013. He is also known for his roles in the films Horrible Bosses (2011), Hall Pass (2011), We’re the Millers (2013), Horrible Bosses 2 (2014), including the Angry Birds movies too.
It’s sad that the two ended their relationship but we’re glad they have handled maturely and continue to support one another and their children too.
