Kisean Paul Anderson better known as Sean Kingston, a once a big-time rapper and singer is said to be facing charges for grand theft with an arrest warrant issued out for the star due to failure to pay for a jeweller.
According to TMZ, an arrest warrant has been put out for Sean Kingston over his alleged failure to pay yet another jeweller. Kingston reportedly had jewellery delivered to his home, but he failed to pay for the items and has been charged with grand theft as a result.
According to TMZ, authorities do not plan on actively pursuing Kingston, but his warrant will remain in their system, in case the “Beautiful Girls” singer falls into their hands through some other brush with the law.
This is not the first time Kingston is facing heat for jewellery theft, and it seems the once-famous star is broke and can’t keep up with the glamourous lifestyle some sources close to him have said.
Kingston’s issues concerning failure to pay jewellers can be traced all the way back as early 2018. In February 2018, a judge ordered Kingston to pay $301,500 (UGX 1,101,782,002) to Aqua Master, a jewellery store based in New York City, after never paying for nine pieces of jewellery, and previously giving him two checks that couldn’t be cashed due to “insufficient funds.”
After that incident, a few months later Kingston was involved in another jewellery theft issue after AP The Jeweller went public about the star dodging him over past due payments. “I’m not calling cops or taking you to court. I’m going to the streets somewhere where you scared to be,” AP threatened in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
Kingston faces up to three years in prison if convicted of grand theft
Kingston filed a police report in 2015 after he was briefly kidnapped during a dispute with representatives for Avianne Jewellers because he refused to pay the entire amount for a watch. He was also sued by Avi Da Jewellers for $356,000 worth of unpaid purchases.
Sean faces up to three years in prison if convicted of grand theft. His bail has been set at $45,000 (UGX 164,445,075).
Failure by the ‘Fire Burning’ hitmaker to pay the dimes required for the jewellery is still a mystery for some though many believe Kingston is having financial problems and he’s only making things once with this grand theft charges against him.
Sean is a Jamaican-American rapper, singer and songwriter. He is known for his hit songs “Beautiful Girls”, “Fire Burning”, and “Eenie Meenie”. After his last album release back in 2013, the star has been silent and not so active.
