The time has finally come for the Maroon 5 and The Voice star to be commemorated by Hollywood as he is to get his own star. On February 10th, Levine will be honored in the category of recording as Maroon 5’s singer and primary song writer.
Levine will raise the Hollywood walk of fame star numbers to 2601, a ceremony at which his Voice co-host Blake Shelton and rock legend Samm Hager are expected to deliver speeches.

Origin of Hollywood Walk of fame star
The tradition was a birthed by E.M Stuart back in 1953 an idea that was gladly welcomed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (that administers the monuments). These are permanent public monuments characterized of 5-point terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks.
These stars are awarded to those who have achieved great heights in the entertainment industry. The monuments are maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust.
The walk of fame spans across 1.3 miles.
