The widow of the late Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, Janeth Magufuli is reported to be sick and is currently undergoing treatment according to reports.
Reports about Janeth’s illness were confirmed by her son Joseph who revealed recently that his mother had suffered shock after the death of her husband on Wednesday, March 17.
Joseph spoke on Sunday, April 18, when he conveyed his family’s appreciation to President Samia Suluhu’s administration, the clergy, and members of the security team for their role after the death of Magufuli.
“My mother (Mama Janeth) has health problems; she got a little shocked after dad died, she is going on with treatment, and she has not been able to come, but she loves all Tanzanians very much.”
“She has asked me to convey her appreciation to Tanzanians for their condolences and cooperation immediately after the announcement of Magufuli’s death until his burial late last month,” Joseph said.
The passing of Magufuli was mirrored with wild speculations after he disappeared from the public eye for more than two weeks until later it was confirmed he had died. According to President Suluhu, Magufuli began feeling unwell and was taken to Jakaya Kikwete Heart Institute on Saturday, March 6.
John Magufuli’s Widow Janeth isn’t doing well
According to her son Joseph, her mother is currently undergoing treatment for the shock she suffered after her husband’s death. We’re not sure how long she will be in hospital but pray she gets better soon.
Given the speculations that surrounded her late husband’s passing, let’s hope nothing dodgy is going on and all the reports being received are without bias.
