Makerere University lecturer Dr. Stella Nyanzi has donated sanitary pads to more than a thousand students in Mukono District.
Nyanzi was joined by Mukono Municipality legislator Betty Namboze where the campaign saw over a thousand girls get sanitary pads.

The university lecturer has invested her time and resources in running this campaign with an aim of providing sanitary pads to girls who cannot afford them. This is to help the girls so that they do not miss school during that time of the month.
Stella started her campaign after government revealed that it had no funds to honour its promise made during the presidential elections.
