AFCON: Do The Ug Cranes Stand A Chance Against Ghana?

Uganda Cranes plays today against Ghana and our we’re all anxious to see how the match plays out and whether we have a fighting chance in the AFCON (African Cup of Nations).

The Cranes were the last team to arrive in Ghana safely and are about to face off with their opponents in the 2017 AFCON. 23 players and officials arrived at the busy Libreville Leon M’ba International Airport in Gabon on Saturday at noon (about 2 p.m East African Standard Time).

The team had an overnight stop over in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from Dubai where they had camped for the past fortnight featuring in a couple of international build up matches in preparation for this day and we hope to see the Cranes make wonders as we cheer them on.

This match will allow Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic to understand more about our team and whether they’re up to the task after 38 years of waiting.

We’re rooting for our boys and wish them the best!
