Craob Designs a Revolutionary Laptop That Is Completely Wireless

A company called Craob last month revealed some pretty amazing design renders for their newest concept laptop called the Craob X that will be fully wireless and without any connectors.

According to reports by WCCFTech, the Craob X concept laptop will be a fully wireless design without any connectors -based on an Intel Alder Lake CPU that utilizes the latest technology for both memory and display.

What makes the concept laptop stand out most is its lack of any connectors, making it the most prominent feature aside from its simple ultrabook stylish look, sleek design and bezel-less screen that has a pinhole web camera to boot.

The revolutionary laptop according to Craob’s website, will have a bezel-less 4K+ display, LPDDR5 connectivity and will also be the world’s first laptop with a wireless charger that magnetically attaches to the back of the laptop to wirelessly charge it.

Aside from being portless, the laptop is super-lightweight, weighing just 1.9 pounds and also super-thin, with 7mm in thickness giving it a lightweight design feel that is easy to carry around for most tasks on the go.

The new laptop utilizes the Intel Core i7-1280P Alder Lake processor revealed earlier last month and offers a 13.3-inch 4K+ bezel-less screen and a punch-hole camera which is a much different design compared to the latest MacBook Pro systems.

Craob’s X laptop offers up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory along with 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage capability. The new notebook will utilize the most contemporary WiFi6E technology for wireless connectivity.

Craob X is an Intel Alder Lake powered ultrabook with next-gen technology and a completely wireless design

The new ultrabook is characterised by an ultra-slim and lightweight form factor having no physical ports whatsoever. However, it doesn’t mean you won’t be able to use any ports and that is made possible by the magnetic charger.

So, no need to worry about the laptop not having USB, MiniJack, Thunderbolt, SD card slots, or a charging port. The design choice by Craob makes sense due to the thin 7mm thickness of the laptop. The physical connectivity comes in with its included magnetic charger that adheres itself to the laptop’s lid.

The wireless technology is what makes this design so impressive. Craob X has no physical connectors (portless design), so there are no I/O ports such as USB Tyle A/C, Thunderbolt, MiniJack, SD card slot, or even a charger port because of its 7mm thin design.

However, all these ports will be available on a magnetic wireless charger, directly to the lid. The magnetic charger offers USB-C, USB-A, Thunderbolt, SD card slot, and a headphone jack, allowing the user not to be dependent on wireless connectivity only to get things done.

Craob has not set a date yet to release their Craob X laptop. No price point is available at this time. With such a unique design for a computer, this could be a premium cost to pay for a fully wireless setup.
