Regarded as one of the best new signings under Swangz Avenue, Elijah Kitaka is back on the music scene with a new single titled “Nothing” plus a captivating music video to back it up.
With a groovy and well-produced sound and beat, Nothing is a real definition of what urban Afrobeat sounds like. Having a smooth touch and vocal appeal to it, the song offers a balanced listening experience that Elijah Kitaka’s fans are going to definitely love.
Aside from having a catchy chorus, Nothing may blow up the radio waves very soon putting Kitaka back on the map. The song, whose video was directed by Marvin Musoke, offers a good visual appeal that celebrates an African theme while adding a beautiful choreography to the mix.
The lyrical vibe in the Nothing song is also one of the things that make this new single a must-listen right from the get-go. “[You are] just full of vibes… Sunshine Arise; Anything for you, I sacrifice. “Stick on me like a Tattoo… Cultivate penetrate… Bring it on Reggaetone… Nothing; Nothing go do us Aparti.” This is an example of good wordplay put together with a nice beat.
Having a number of songs that elevate his vocal abilities and talent, Kitaka rose to the scene after he dropped songs like Change Time, Me and You, and Beera Powa (featuring Ft. Sylvester & Abramz) and has continued to show off his strengths while under the management of Swangz Avenue.
It seems Swangz Avenue is beginning to put effort back into its male artists after a long dominant period where the likes of Vinka and Winnie Nwagi, Irene Ntale and Azawi have been household names under the records management reign. Of course, aside from the usual popular names, the record label has other male artists like Zulanda, Vampino, Joel Kisakye, and Young Zee though the content flow hasn’t been as constant compared to the female counterparts.
