Uganda’s Sheebah Karungi including Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and many more have been confirmed as performers for the upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) come February 2o21.
The announcement was made Wednesday via the MAMAs Twitter page where they confirmed that Sheebah Karungi will be among the performers dawning the virtual event taking place for the first time in Kampala, Uganda.
Many were shocked by the news last year when MTV confirmed Uganda as the next host for the MAMAs, with hidden posters and displays laid out in the city to convey the message in a cryptic way, which was later revealed as the confirmation for the news.
“We’re SOOOO excited to have Sheebah Karungi join our #MTVMAMA line-up! Don’t miss it the virtual LIVE show coming to you from the virtual stage in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. on February 20!” stated MTV Base Africa.
The virtual event will also have other music artists like Nasty C (South Africa), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Calema (Sao Tome), and Soraia Ramos (Cape Verde).

Sheebah Karungi was confirmed as one of the performers slated for the upcoming MAMAs.
The MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) will be a virtual event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and will be airing on 20th February 2021, which will present the ultimate in African culture, music, and creativeness.
Sheebah Karungi and Diamond Platnumz will both be performing at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2021
We are not sure which songs Sheebah will perform at the event but seeing the list of music artists set to perform, we expect it to be lit and exciting.
The event will air on MTV Base (DSTV Channel 322) and MTV (DSTV Channel 130). The one-hour MAMA-themed MTV World Stage feature will be rebroadcast on BET Africa and BET International plus MTV channels across many continents.
