Has Pallaso Really Signed a Deal with Sony Music Africa?

Unconfirmed reports have been floating around the web regarding Pallaso real name Pius Mayanja signing with Sony Music Africa, which is part of the American arm of Sony Music Entertainment.

According to Big Eye, Pallaso is believed to have signed a deal with Sony Music Africa after a source split the beans about the deal. However, the reports are yet to be confirmed as there is no formal communication from the global music conglomerate.

The ‘Akomelerwe’ singer is said to have landed the deal during his visit to South Africa recently where he was stabbed and almost killed by a gang, which he later revealed online in fear for his dear life.

Pallaso has been making some big moves in the music industry recently, as he has put on a strong front with several song releases and projects throughout the year which could have caught the attention of big record labels like Sony.

Other singers that have signed with Sony include Vinka, who last year had an exclusive deal with the Japanese-owned entertainment company marking her final shift from Swangz Avenue, a deal that went smoothly.

Pallaso is yet to reveal more about the Sony Music deal

Pallaso and Sony Music Africa haven’t released any formal communications or press releases to confirm the deal, which is why it could still be just another rumour.

The Ugandan singer, producer, and songwriter is best known for his Afrobeat tracks that he often sings in Luganda with a mix of English and times Swahili. His music genre speciality is Afrobeat, Hip hop, Dancehall, Afropop, and RnB.

There have also been reports of the singer dropping a new track soon after he left a clue on his Twitter account that said: ‘Should I drop another hit?’
