Nigerian music star, Wizkid in a recent post on his Twitter account referred to Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari as a clueless leader when it comes to issues affecting their country.
On Monday, June 1, 2020, Wizkid took to Twitter in a series of tweets referring to President Buhari as a clueless leader and also comparing him to United States president, Donald Trump.
The reason behind his tweets could be connected to the ongoing riots and protests in the U.S. concerning the death of George Floyd and the rape and murder of a young Nigerian university student recently.
Wizkid’s tweets read:
“Buhari/Trump same person lol only difference be say one sabi use twitter pass the other. Clueless!” he tweeted.
“God save the world! Save the people ❤.” – he added.
Wizkid calling president Buhari clueless is probably connected to Uwa Omozuwa’s death
On Saturday, May 30, 2020, a young Nigerian student by the names of Uwa Omozuwa was raped and murdered in Benin city by an unknown group of people which sent shockwaves across the West African nation.
Omozuwa was a student at the University of Benin and according to reports, the young lady was raped and later died due to injuries she sustained during the grim encounter. Her body was found lying in a pool of blood at a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG.

According to Africa News, the people responsible for Uwa’s death are still at large and reports state that the murderers smashed her head with a fire extinguisher knocking her unconscious.
Uwa Omozuwa was raped and murdered in Benin city by an unknown group of people which sent shockwaves across the West African nation.
Her death was a shock to the entire country with people expressing their concerns and opinions on social media about the gruesome act against the Microbiology student. The hashtag #JUSTICEFORUWA became a trending topic on Twitter as many Nigerians took to the digital landscape to voice their concerns about the murder.
A statement by state governor Obaseki over the weekend read: “I’ve ordered the Nigeria Police Force to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the UNIBEN.
The connection between Wizkid and president Buhari is still a little sketchy but it seems the Nigerian leader’s recent actions in regards to the lockdown and quarantine measures put in place, including the dire situation within the country itself has pointed a negative view on him, which is why the Nigerian singer attacked him in his tweets.
