Morgan Heritage Coming To Uganda

Morgan Heritage, the awesome Reggae band from Jamaica is set to perform in Kampala by April 13th, 2017 at Lugogo Cricket Oval and we totally filled in excitement.

The Grammy Award winning Jamaican Reggae Band is known for its exciting music will happen during a Easter weekend. The multi award winning band of five sisters and brothers formed in 1994, will be performing in Uganda for the first time since the bands formation.

According to a source close to the organizers, all is set for the band to jet in for a ‘mega’ concert.

Our boss has been in the US to discuss all plans with the bands management. Everything was concluded and I have seen the paper work,” said a source who preferred anonymity.

The reggae band’s 2015 album Strictly Roots won the Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album category in 2016 making it a total of 17 albums produced in their time.

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, namely Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. In two decades, they have had a number of successful reggae albums.

Lets hope we don’t suffer a set back as we did with Wizkid a few weeks back where he left many Ugandans angered by his betrayal when he failed to make it for the concert.

The reggae stars have confirmed their trip to Uganda on their website so, no need to be afraid. We don’t expect them to ditch us all the sudden. Come April, Kampala will experience one of the best reggae bands in the world.
