Nigerian singer Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known as Patoranking on Thursday awarded full scholarships to 10 Africans that had been selected from a pool of applicants that totalled to over a hundred.
The ten lucky young people were selected from across Africa and were awarded the full scholarships which were part of a partnership with the African Leadership University (ALU) that he had announced back in 2019.
According to Patoranking, the ten inaugural scholars will be awarded 100% paid tuition.
“The Patoranking Scholars will be rewarded with 100% paid tuition and a once in a lifetime opportunity of being part of the next generation of extraordinary African leaders and entrepreneurs at ALU….The Time is Now🙏🏽 God Bless You All,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

Among the lucky students are Chidera Nnadozie, Emmanuel Markwei, Hardness Range, Hanisani Nleya, Amos Kusamba, Emmanuel Okorwoit, Sandra Mugeniwayesu, Abdulmaleek Usman, Kafumba Daramay and Youssouf Ouedraogo. The students will be schooling at the Rwanda and Mauritius campuses of the ALU.
Patoranking offered the young people full scholarships based on a partnership with ALU
African Leadership University or ALU is a network of tertiary institutions with operations in both Mauritius and Rwanda offering learning opportunities with bachelor degrees.
ALU is dedicated to educating, advising and connecting students to opportunities across the continent and beyond, to foster 21st-century skills and considers itself as a world-class tertiary education institution.

Patoranking is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter who started his music career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He later signed a record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing “Up in D Club”. He also collaborated with Timaya on his song “Alubarika”
