Instagram had stopped working a few hours ago, with many users unable to see people’s pictures or profiles. The app couldn’t allow people to refresh their feed either.
The web version of the app also had problems too as it kept bringing up only a “5xx Server Error” which has persisted for the last few hours.
The people affected mostly by this issue were in northern Europe, Australia and the west coast of the US, according to the outage-tracking website Down Detector.
For the slay queens and kings that were looking to share some content on the app, have been totally frustrated by Instagram’s failure to work including business that advertise on it.
The problem was later fixed later in the day but so far there haven’t reports of the failure in Africa as yet.
